PS: for actual code examples (as opposed to instructions about what component to use, or just links, I'll be glad to drop in some extra points). In case the solution involves setting the printer driver to print to pages per sheet, it would also be great to have the code to do it from my programme. (No, not as the FSF means it, free as in "no money") :-)Īnd of course, just ideas is not enough, I've had a whole lot of 'em, but I couldn't make any one work, so I will need some code or very precise indications on how to write it myself, or a little demo proggy printing p32 and 1, or something, so I can see it actually works. But whatever the solution, all aditional components/external programmes or whatever must be free. bmp, putting the bmps together and sending that to the printer, or any other filthy trick of the kind is OK. I suppose it's because they're two different print jobs.Īny dirty and in-elegant trick will suffice. The ActiveX control for Adobe Acrobat won't do the job, because it will only let me specify one individual page, or a range of pages, and if I try to send first one individual page, and then a second individual page, even if the printer is configured to print two pages per sheet, it puts out the first sheet with only one page, and then a second sheet with the other page. What I haven't found a way to do is to get two arbitrary pages into one sheet of paper. Now, the page number sequence, I can manage. Click the Print button to print the pages. Word automatically scales the pages so they fit on the paper it takes into consideration the paper size you selected from the Paper Size box. (Actually the idea is to do it with pages 1-32, 33-64 and so on, and then bind them to get a book, but it's just the same on a different scale). Select 2 Pages Per Sheet from the Pages Per Sheet drop-down box to print two pages on one sheet of paper. The whole point of this is that after printing all pages from 1 to 32 in this way, I can fold them all in half and staple them, and get something that looks like a magazine. Sheet of paper #2, side 1: page 30 and page 3 To print a document created in an A5 format on A4 you will need to specify the print page size. Now select how many sheets you wish to print on one page. STEP 4: Under the section title Paper Sizing & Handling, click to select Multiple. STEP 3: With the printable open, click File, then Print. If you just want 2 pages per sheet, you can click Page Setup under. Click 1 Page Per Sheet on the bottom of Settings to expand the drop-down menu, and choose an option in the list, thus you can arrange 2 or even more pages on the same paper when printing. You can choose the layout or Orientation. STEP 2: Locate the area on your computer that you saved your printable files in. Click File on the top-right corner of Word and go to Print tab. Sheet of paper #1, side 2: page 2 and page 31 You will also need to make changes to how the content will fit onto one page. Sheet of paper #1, side 1: page 32 and page 1 (in that order) I'm looking for a way I can print two pages from a single PDF file onto the same sheet of paper in the following way: From the options select 2 to print 2 pages per sheet.
